First of all, a huge apology for those waiting for an update! I had my appointment this morning, and worried texts started rolling in late this afternoon. I have the best people in my life, and I am so sorry for making you wait!
The reason I didn’t post an update right away was because the update is very boring (just like we wanted), and I forgot! Whoops!
Dr. Reddy said the scans looked good, and there is nothing to worry about. This marks 2 years since diagnosis, and it is a huge milestone in my progress. The chance of recurrence drops to a less scary percentage at this point 🙂
I am graduating to scans/blood work every 6 months instead of every 3. While I’m nervous about going that long without a scan, I have to make that transition sometime. It might as well be now! And as my dear friend Andrea pointed out, Dr. Reddy has been trustworthy through all of this, and I can trust that he’s not worried about what will happen in the next 6 months.
My energy levels are awesome. To be honest, I feel better now (at almost 33 and post-cancer) than I did at 25. I’m sure that’s a combination of a changed outlook on life, the chemicals finally getting out of my body, and the goodness and grace of God!
Thanks to all of you who continue to pray. I am so very thankful!
The BEST news ever!! Blessings!!
